About Jamie
Jamie lives in Vermont where he works with a wide variety of building and landscaping professionals as well as adventurous homeowners. He has worked throughout the northeast US and in Canada, Scotland and England. He offers new construction, restoration of historic stonework, sculptural and artistic design work and training and instruction. He has a B.A. in Environmental Studies and Geography from the The University of Vermont.
He currently holds an Advanced Level of Certification with The Dry Stone Wallers Association of Great Britian (DSWA). This is the most widely recognized and accepted training scheme for dry stone wallers in the world. Levels of certification are achieved through rigorous timed tests where participants are graded on sound construction principals of the age old tradition. It's a valuable process not only for training wallers but also for assuring prospective clients and designers that the level of work is of the highest standard. He is a certified DSWA walling instructor and occasionally leads workshops at The Stone Trust and is a member of the Vermont Nursery and Landscape Association. Jamie is fully insured.
